Today was a pretty good day. I told myself I was gonna do 2k words, and I managed to go over that a little just to bring my total to 10k! I’m off to such a lucky start with this project, and I’m so excited to keep on throwing more shenanigans at these two, now that they’ve decided to be adventure buddies.
Excerpt:
“Okay, fair. If you don’t want people to come after you, though, why don’t you just …”
“Shapeshift all the time?” Elias finished the question. “I mean, it’s a great trick and all, but it does take a bit of energy. I might come with more juice than the average spell slinger, but I still gotta try to conserve stuff. Save it for the important things, like saving pixies in distress.”
Eral’s expression flattened. “You’re the one who caused my distress.”
“Maybe. But I also rescued you, so as far as I’m concerned, I should be a blank slate right now.”
