Progress for Imperfect Storm

I’m still keeping up! It’s been a lot of fun. I’m currently in the midst of a transition scene that’s kind of a drag to have to write, but the conflict of the story is practically right around the corner, so I’m excited for that!
Excerpt:
Eral pulled one of his wings around in front of himself so he could brush his hand over the surface. It was always a strange feeling, but when he pulled his hand away, it was coated in glittering green dust.
Very useful dust, as it turned out. He flitted to a branch over the human’s head and brushed his hands together. The glittering green dust fell away from his hand all too easily. It drifted down towards its target in spite of the gentle breeze, guided by the intent for mischief and Eral’s casual concentration on his would-be foe.
The man looked up in time for the dust to reach him. “What the-”
The magic took hold quickly and his feet left the ground. His eyes widened and his arms pinwheeled for balance, only causing him to tilt backwards as he floated upwards. “G-get me down!” he yelped. His voice was far less gruff and threatening now.
Eral drifted down into view, and raised his eyebrows at the man’s wide-eyed panic. “What, can’t handle a little pixie dust?”
